Prayer for My Marriage

Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NKJV)

Lord, thank You for the gift of marriage. I place my marriage in Your hands today. Be the third strand that holds us together when we are tired, stretched or misunderstood.

Renew our love and our friendship. Teach us to listen well, to speak gently and to forgive quickly. Remove pride, bitterness and every root of offence between us.

Help us to see each other through Your eyes and to serve one another with joy. Protect our marriage from every outside influence that would divide us. Let our home reflect Your love, and let our marriage be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
