Morning Prayer to Direct My Day

My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.

Psalm 5:3 (NKJV)

Lord, in the morning I lift my voice to You, and I will look up and wait for Your answer. I bring You my plans for today and hold them with open hands.

Where my plans agree with Yours, bless them. Where they do not, redirect me gently. Give me wisdom for every decision, patience for every delay and courage for every conversation.

Help me to work with excellence and to rest without guilt. Keep me from anxiety and hurry, and remind me throughout the day that You are near. May my words and actions honour You, and may someone see Your kindness through me today.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
